A Joyous Day

Today was our second day in the village doing our different ministries, it was so encouraging getting to witness each of the different ministries in action.  The women’s ministry was moving, Cynthia discussed some various women’s “cleansing” demonstrations and then tied it in with a beautiful devotional, the women were so attentive and gracious for the information and encouragement to be women of God.  The dental clinic finished up today, Marisa again was a rockstar missionary and worked all day long with no lunch; Dan got the opportunity to talk with one of her patients after about the stresses in his life and prayed with him to accept Christ.  This morning we talked as a team about always being ready for ministry, ready to follow God’s calling and taking opportunities when they arise and the Lord gave us those opportunities today!  The children’s ministry was again an exciting and chaotic couple of hours.  We spoke about the fruit of the spirit joy today, acted out the story of the Prodigal Son, and did a skit about Jesus being the only one who can fill us with joy.  It was encouraging once again to see the children so attentive and ready to hear more of the Gospel.

The team has grown closer and closer together and it’s hard to believe that we’ve only been together for only five days.  The Lord has shown us that we indeed are each different parts of the body and we’re each needed to do His work.  I pray that you would continue to lift us up in prayer, that we may continue to impact this village and be used by God to open up hearts to Him.

“Not to us, O Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness.” –Psalm 115:1
